Blipsy Meter

Know what you’ve got left.

Blipsy Meter is a small display for your desk. It shows how much of your AI coding tools’ usage you’ve got through, so you find out before you run out.

Works with Claude Code and Codex, on a Mac.
An independent product, not made, endorsed or sponsored by Anthropic or OpenAI.

The screens

One tap. It goes to the next screen.

The meter’s real screens, pixel for pixel, with sample numbers.

How it works

It reads the logs your tools already keep.

Plug the meter into your Mac with a USB-C cable and open the menu bar app. The app reads the usage logs that Claude Code and Codex write to your own disk, adds them up, and sends the totals down the cable every five seconds.

Nothing leaves your Mac. The app makes no network requests and needs no account, and the meter has no way to reach the internet.

For Codex the meter shows the percentage left of your 5-hour and weekly limits, as Codex itself reports them. Claude Code’s logs don’t include a limit, so for Claude Code the meter shows tokens used in the current 5-hour window and counts down to when it resets.

The object

Sixty-five millimetres wide.
